<title>Stewart tony que mira de fabricación de una vuelta a Chevrolet</title>
			<link>index.php?option=com_content&amp;task=view&amp;id=2575&amp;Itemid=28</link>
			<description>Filed under: Motorsports (http://www.autoblog.com/category/motorsports/), Chevrolet (http://www.autoblog.com/category/chevrolet/), Toyota (http://www.autoblog.com/category/toyota/)

Recent spots for Armor All that feature NASCAR's perpetually unshaven Tony Stewart almost make one forget what emblem is now placed on the front of his race car. The television commercials show Stewart staring longingly at a shiny Chevrolet Corvette, despite the fact that he now rolls around the track in a bestickered-to-look-like-a Toyota Camry. Even though Stewart's contract with Joe Gibbs racing extends through 2009; rumor has it that he has been in talks with Haas CNC Racing to put him back behind the bowtie logo by next year. The team gets its Chevy engines and race support through Hendrick Motorsports. There is also an indication that Stewart is interested in a 50-percent stake in the Haas CNC team.
A more controlling team role seems like one that would better suit a vocal driver like Tony Stewart, as he would only have himself to yell at after one of his media outbursts. Plus, any problems with team management would be between he and himself. The situation's likelihood is still a bit far fetched at this point though, as Joe Gibbs Racing seems unwavering in releasing Tony Stewart from his contract early.

<title>Los funcionarios de E.U. despejan la venta del jaguar, land rover a
Tata</title>

			<description>Filed under: Government/Legal (http://www.autoblog.com/category/government-legal/), Jaguar (http://www.autoblog.com/category/jaguar/), Land Rover (http://www.autoblog.com/category/land-rover/), Tata (http://www.autoblog.com/category/tata/)
In what seems like an official bookend to the sale of Jaguar and Land Rover from Ford to Tata, the European Union, like the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (http://www.autoblog.com/2008/04/24/us-federal-regulators-clear-jag-land-rover-sale/), has given its official seal of approval (http://www.autonews.com/article/20080425/COPY01/446829598/1204) to the deal. The E.U. had received no complaints regarding the impending purchase, so approval of the $2.3 billion deal had been expected. In fact, the &quot;simplified procedure&quot; used by the European Commission has never ended up with anything but acceptance. No more speed bumps appear ahead of the Indian automaker, which previously had specialized in small and inexpensive vehicles. Now that these formalities are over and done with, hopefully we can simply look forward to what an injection of cash can do to the two classic British marques.[Source: Automotive News (http://www.autonews.com/article/20080425/COPY01/446829598/1204) - sub. req'd] Read (http://www.autonews.com/article/20080425/COPY01/446829598/1204) | Permalink (http://www.autoblog.com/2008/04/25/e-u-officials-clear-sale-of-jaguar-land-rover-to-tata/) | Email this (http://www.autoblog.com/forward/1177646/) | Comments (http://www.autoblog.com/2008/04/25/e-u-officials-clear-sale-of-jaguar-land-rover-to-tata/#comments)

<title>Pics Aplenty: Convertible del Bmw M3</title>

Everything remains the same, including the choice of either a six-speed manual or six-speed DCT gearbox (http://www.autoblog.com/2008/01/17/getting-greasy-with-bmws-m-dual-clutch-transmission/), all without that pesky roof to keep you from enjoying the 420 hp, 4.0-liter V8 when your sending it up into its 8.400-rpm redline.BMW's UK press release is posted after the jump.Gallery: 2009 BMW M3 Convertible (http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-bmw-m3-convertible/)Permalink (http://www.autoblog.com/2008/04/25/pics-aplenty-bmw-m3-convertible/) | Email this (http://www.autoblog.com/forward/1177648/) | Comments (http://www.autoblog.com/2008/04/25/pics-aplenty-bmw-m3-convertible/#comments)

<title>VÍDEO: Corbeta ZR1 fija 205 mph de la velocidad superior</title>
			<link>index.php?option=com_content&amp;task=view&amp;id=2577&amp;Itemid=28</link>
<description>Filed under: Supercars (http://www.autoblog.com/category/supercars/), Chevrolet (http://www.autoblog.com/category/chevrolet/)General Motors, Chevrolet and the Corvette team are clearly proud of the power ratings (http://www.autoblog.com/2008/04/25/officially-official-corvette-zr1-makes-638-hp-and-604-lb-ft/) they just announced for the Corvette ZR1. With its LS9 V8 producing 638 horsepower and 604 pound-feet of torque, you would expect the most powerful Corvette ever to be the fastest as well. And you'd be right. On its GMNext website, GM has revealed that its taken the ZR1 all the way up to 205 mph at its test track in Papenburg, Germany. And they had a video camera on board to capture the moment. The sense of speed is incredible, and even we got excited when the ZR1 climbed the banked oval and made other vehicles track testing that day look like stationary objects. Keep your eye on the digital speedometer in the bottom center of the video and watch as the ZR1 is still pulling strongly above 180 mph. We remember a time when the Ferrari F40 and Lamborghini Diablo were battling for the title of World's Fastest Production Car, and the Diablo narrowly beat out the F40 by claiming a top speed of 204 mph. Now we have a Chevy that can go 205 mph. What a wonderful world. According to Auto Motor und Sport, the new engine will be fitted with a blower and putting out around 350 hp when fitted to the next generation S4. The supercharged six is expected to return better fuel mileage than its V8 counterpart and will also be fitted to the refreshed A6, due out towards the end of this year, although output will be reduced to 290 hp and 310 lb.-ft. of torque. Additionally, both models will benefit from a Magna-sourced sports differential that will migrate to the Q5 and S5 down the line. No timeframe was provided about the release of the S4, but we'd expect to see the A6 replacement in Paris, with the S4 debuting at the LA Auto Show in November.[Source: Auto Motor und Sport (http://www.auto-motor-und-sport.de/news/auto_-_produkte/hxcms_article_511977_13987.hbs) via MotiveMag (http://forums.motivemag.com/zerothread?id=3807920)] Read (http://www.auto-motor-und-sport.de/news/auto_-_produkte/hxcms_article_511977_13987.hbs) | Permalink (http://www.autoblog.com/2008/04/25/more-details-on-audis-forthcoming-350-hp-supercharged-s4/) | Email this (http://www.autoblog.com/forward/1177754/) | Comments (http://www.autoblog.com/2008/04/25/more-details-on-audis-forthcoming-350-hp-supercharged-s4/#comments)
